These are exciting times for the Navy International Programs
Office. More than ever, the collective well-being of the international
community is linked to the smooth operation of the global "conveyor
belt" of maritime trade that ties us all together. In the United
States; the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard recently joined
together in adopting our new maritime strategy, recognizing the
challenges we face and the vital roles of maritime security forces in
this flatter, globalizing world. The quote in the sidebar is
from this strategy. It reflects our commitment to working with
international partners to maintain peace and security in the maritime
domain. Of course, at Navy IPO this commitment has always been at
the heart of our mission. Our dedicated professionals are working
harder than ever to support the requirements of our friends, allies,
and coalition partners.
Navy IPO is not alone in this endeavor. Our activities are
integral parts of programs directed by the Secretary of the Navy, the
Chief of Naval Operations, the Commandants of the Marine Corps and
Coast Guard and the six Regional combatant Commanders to safeguard
American interests and support the security of our allies and partners.
We also coordinate closely with our U.S. interagency partners to
navigate through the maze of laws and policies regulating security
assistance. And we work with our program managers and Industry partners
to make their superb products and services available at an affordable
price to friendly nations in the maritime community who share our
interests. I strongly believe that at the end of the day, whether our
clients are conducting routine operations or responding to crises, we
all benefit by the enhanced interoperability and capabilities that
result from these efforts.
I hope you find the information on this website to be useful. If
you want to know more about our programs, products, or services; please
let us know. At Navy IPO, it’s all about relationships.
